Terms of Service

Last updated:

1. Acceptance

By using InBrowserPDF (the "Service") at inbrowserpdf.com, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

2. Beta service: no warranty, use at your own risk

The Service is provided as a beta, "as is", and "as available". We may change, pause, or discontinue it at any time, with or without notice. We do our best to make the tools work correctly, but we make no guarantees about the availability, accuracy, reliability, or fitness for any particular purpose of the Service or its output.

We are not responsible for any loss, damage, or claim arising from your use of the Service, the output it produces, or your inability to use the Service. This includes, without limitation, lost profits, lost data, business interruption, or any indirect or consequential damages, even if we have been advised of the possibility of such damages.

You use the Service at your own risk. Always keep an independent copy of any file you upload. Always review the output before relying on it for anything important (a contract, a record, a deadline, a publication).

3. You must own or be authorised to use the file

You represent and warrant that you own every file you submit, or that you have explicit, legal authorisation to act on it. Examples of "authorised" use include: a PDF you created, a PDF a client sent you to edit, a public-domain document, or a document shared with you under a licence that allows the operation you're performing.

Examples of use we prohibit include: removing DRM or password protection from a file you do not own or have not been authorised to unlock, watermarking a third party's work in a way that misrepresents its origin, or combining documents you have no right to combine.

4. Data processing and retention

Files you submit are processed in memory and are not stored on our servers. See our Privacy Policy for the full details.

5. Prohibited uses

You agree not to use the Service to:

  • Process files you do not have the right to act on.
  • Attempt to disrupt the Service, probe it, or circumvent rate limits.
  • Use the Service in connection with unlawful activity.
  • Reverse-engineer the Service or use it to build a competing product.

6. Intellectual property

The Service, its design, its code, and its brand are owned by us and our licensors. You retain all rights to the files you submit and the files you download.

7. Changes to these terms

We may update these Terms. The "Last updated" date at the top will reflect the change. Continued use of the Service after a change means you accept the updated Terms.
